Training Program
20 years as professional dancers and 10 as teachers backup this training programe. Based on 4 levels of 2 years each, they give students the tools to reach the professional world.

The CDC training course is directed by Roser Muñoz and Joan Boix.
Both Boix and Muñoz are exceptions and realities of the classical dance Catalan
scene. Born in Barcelona and with an international professional career as
Principal Dancers in several companies, they hand over great professional,
technical and artistic knowledge acquired over two decades. On the stage
they have interpreted the first roles of the classical repertoire, such as:
Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppélia,
La Fille mal gardeè, etc.
They have also danced choreographies of the best international choreographers
such as George Balanchine, Roland Petit, Jonh Cranko, William Forsythe, Mats Ek,
Jiri Kilian, Uwe Scholz and Heinz Sporli among others.
This whole combination of artistic experiences gives them a privileged perception
of the classical dance world today. After 20 years on the stage and combining
the last years of their dancing career with teaching, with new strength and the
experience they accumulated, they decided to return to Barcelona and try to hand
on their knowledge to the new generations.
In our training course we offer between three and six hours of classes a day
dedicated exclusively to classical dance.
We work on technique, repertoire, pas de deux, contemporary dance, dance history and other necessary modalities, in order to ensure that our students arrive at the professional world as well prepared as possible.
To make sure the students are well prepared, dance performances, festivals, competitions and events are carried out regularly, thus allowing them to acquire professionalism through the stage experience, which is so important to enhance the artistic side as well as the technical sel-confidence of the student.
Many of the CDC students have gained access to the professional world or have won first prizes in national and international competitions.
In order to enter the training course the students must pass an audition, or if this is not possible, they must request a private access exam.
CDC offers accommodation with full board for students who have to travel from far away in order to study our training course. More information:
